An Illustrated History of Japan

"An illustrated History of Japan" is a wonderful book, text and illustrations by Shigeo Nishimura, for both adults and children, this magnificient work of art comes with concise, comprehensive information of Japan´s history, including a timeline, and most amazing detailed illustrations. If you are interested in learning about Japanese history, I highly recommend this book for basic guidelines. For foreigners, children, or people who are just starting to learn about Japan, this is a wonderful tool. You go through it in about 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the time you spend paying attention to the detailed pictures. The book is aproximately $19 USD and it is worth every cent. The pictures (with only a few lines of text on every page) guide us through the different changes that this beautiful country has been through, starting from 100,000 years ago, and Japan´s evolution, till becoming the modern country that it is these days. An icon of modern life, technology, fashion, wonderful history, etcetera. Trust me on these, if you want to learn something else about one of the most interesting cultures in the world, but in a very simple, graphic fashion, or if you have children that enjoy history, you must read this beautiful, lovely book. Three cheers for Shigeo Nishimura!!
